Biography

Lefter Küçükandonyadis joined the Taksim Club in 1941, but in 1943 joined in the military, serving until 1947. After the war he played under the colors of Fenerbahce, and stayed with them through 1964, leading the Turkish league in scoring in the 1953-54 season. Küçükandonyadis earned 50 international caps, scoring 21 goals for the national team, and captaining the team nine times. After his playing career ended he settled in Greece and then South Africa as a technical director and coach.
