Biography

East German bobsledder Axel Kühn started his career with a silver medal at the 1988 European Championships in the four-man event with non-Olympian pilot Volker Dietrich. In 1991 he won the World Championships with pilot [Wolfgang Hoppe], claiming silver medal in 1992 with him, [Bogdan Musiol] and brakeman [René Hannemann]. Two years later Kühn was dropped as a member of the Olympic team anymore and he retired from sport.
