Biography
Wilson Kiprugut had the following podium finishes at major championships: 2nd in the 1968 Olympics 800 metres, 3rd in the 1964 Olympics 800 metres; 2nd in the 1966 British Empire and Commonwealth Games 880 yards. He also finished fifth with the 4×440 yards relay team (with Kimaru Songok, Peter Francis, and Seraphino Antao) and was eliminated in the heats of the 440 yards at the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games. In the 1966 British Empire and Commonwealth Games Kiprugut was eliminated in the semi-finals of the 440 yards. Personal Bests: 400 – 46.6 (1965); 800 – 1:44.57 (1968). |
