Irish painter Frances Kelly (later Boland) studied in Dublin and from 1932-35 in Paris. Back in Ireland she painted murals in a Dublin Hospital, and those at the old Russell Hotel. She specialized in still lifes. Her husband was well-known diplomat Frederick Boland, Irish ambassador to Britain and the first Irish ambassador to the United Nations.
