Biography

Maiola Kalili was a Hawai’ian who swam for the Los Angeles AC. He was 1931 AAU champion outdoors in the 100 yards and in 1932 scored a notable double by taking the 100 yard and 220 yard AAU freestyle titles indoors. Kalili swam on the 4x200 freestyle relay team at the 1932 Olympics with his brother, [Manuela Kalili], and [Buster Crabbe]. Kalili was later inducted into the Hawai’i Sports Hall of Fame.
