Biography

The apex of Igor Kashkarov’s career was at the 1956 Olympics, where he won a surprising bronze medal. Besides his Olympic medal, Kashkarov was Soviet Champion in 1955 and 1959, won silver at the 1961 Universiade and was fourth at the 1958 European Championships. Kashkarov later worked as an athletics coach.
