Biography

Akilles Järvinen had the following podium finishes at major championships: 2nd in the 1928 Olympics Decathlon, 2nd in the 1932 Olympics Decathlon; 2nd in the 1934 European Championships 400 metres Hurdles.

He was killed in action during a test flight.
