Biography

Dick Howell was a prep star at Hyde Park High School near Chicago, and was a member of the Northwestern swim teams that won Big Ten and NCAA championships in 1924-25. Howell was NCAA Champion in both the 400 and 1,500 metre freestyle events in 1924.
