Biography

German poster artist Alfred Hierl won the silver medal at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games in the Art Competitions in the category of graphic arts painting, with his work International Avus Race, which was one of four works he had submitted. During World War II he was an official war artist. Hierl was a graphic designer and mainly produced posters.
