Biography

In 1927, John Gibson won the AAU 440y hurdles in a world record time of 52.6. He placed on the podium in the AAU 400 hurdles five years consecutively – 1924-28 – with seconds in 1925-26 and thirds in 1924 and 1928.

Personal Bests: 400 – 48.1 (1928); 440yH – 52.6 (1927).
