Biography

Donald Garrow was a member of the hastily put together British ski team for the 1948 Winter Games. He competed in all three disciplines at in St. Moritz with a best position of 45th in the combined event. As well as being British national skiing champion, he also represented Oxford University at golf.

After service in the Royal Navy, he qualified as a doctor and worked as a consultant paediatrician until his retirement. He played the flute in a local orchestra until just before his death from Luekaemia.
