Biography

Javier Fragoso was a forward who started his senior career in 1962 with Club América, playing with them until 1970. He later played briefly for Zacatepec (1970-72 and 1973-74) and Puebla (1972-73), ending his career in 1974. Fragoso was on the Mexican national team from 1965-70, earning 46 caps and scoring 19 international goals. These included hat tricks in a 5-0 victory over Netherlands Antilles in 1965, and against Paraguay (7-0) in 1966. Fragoso competed in the World Cup in 1966 and 1970. He later became a club manager.
