George Frenn was AAU hammer champion in 1970-71 and won the AAU indoor weight throw six times from 1970-77, missing only in 1974 and 1976. He competed thrice in the hammer at the Pan American Games, finishing third in 1967, second in 1971, and seventh in 1975. He appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 1970 and later spent 35 years teaching science in California high schools. Personal Bests: DT – 47.52 (155-11) (1962); HT – 70.89 (232-7) (1970). |
