Biography

An oustanding high school sprinter at South Mountain in Phoenix, Dwayne Evans went on to place second in the 1976 Final Trials and then finished third at the Olympics. He went on to the University of Arizona, but was unable to duplicate his early successes. His major championship victories were the 1979 AAU 200m and the 1981 NCAA 200m.

Personal Bests: 100y – 9.4 (1975); 100 – 10.20 (1981); 200 – 20.08 (1977); 400 – 47.1 (1981).
