Biography

Clyde Emrich had the following podium finishes at major championships: 2nd in the 1955 World Championships Middle-Heavyweight class (427.5 kg), 3rd in the 1954 World Championships Middle-Heavyweight class (427.5 kg); 1st in the 1959 Pan American Games Middle-Heavyweight class (432.5 kg). He was US National Champion in Light-Heavyweight in 1952, and in Middle-Heavyweight in 1956-57, and 1959. He set two world records - both in the clean & jerk.
