Biography

Dike Eddleman won the NCAA high jump in 1948, after finishing second in 1947. Eddleman also played football and basketball at the University of Illinois, and won 11 varsity letters for the Illini. He competed in the Rose Bowl in 1947 as a punter on the football team. He later played for four years in the NBA, with the Tri-Cities Blackhawks and the Fort Wayne Pistons. In 1993, the University of Illinois named the athlete-of-the-year awards for Eddleman.

Personal Best: HJ – 2.01 (6-7¼) (1948).
