Biography

Valentina Dimitrova was a multi-event athlete. She won the 1977 World Universiade in the pentathlon in Sofia. She later placed sixth at the 1982 European Championships, fifth at the 1983 World Championships, and she was seventh at Moskva in 1980 in the pentathlon. Dimitrova ended her athletic career in 1984 because of injuries. She later stayed in the sport as a teacher and coach.
