Suzanne Davis won six medals at the US Figure Skating Championships, winning the ladies’ title in 1934, placing second in 1928, 1933, and 1935, and earning bronze medals in 1929-30. She also competed at the World Championships twice, finishing sixth in 1930 and 11th in 1932. Davis later married Bill King, a Dartmouth swimmer, and their son, Bill, Jr., played quarterback at Dartmouth. They settled in Richmond, Virginia, where she was a co-founder of the Skating Club of Richmond. Davis-King later became a judge in national figure skating competitions, and in 1986, appeared on ABC’s Wide World of Sports in “The Show of Champions.” |
