Krystyna Dąbrowska was a sculptor and painter who studied in Poznań and Warsaw, who saw the majority of her work destroyed in World War II. Between 1941 and 1943 she worked in a sugar factory and was active in resistance groups. In Warsaw Dąbrowska helped as a nurse from January 1944. but was killed in the Warsaw Uprising in 1944 by the Nazis. |
