Biography

Constance Darnowski ran hurdles for the German-American Athletic Club. She was AAU Champion in the 80 metre hurdles in 1952 (which doubled as the Olympic Trials) and 1954, and indoor AAU Champion in the 70 yard hurdles in 1956. She also competed at the 1955 Pan-American Games but failed to finish in the final. She attended St. John's University where she earned an education degree and later became an elementary school administrator.

Personal Best: 80H – 11.0 (1952).
