Full name: Liberto Corney Espallargas
Born: February 20, 1905 in Buenos Aires, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina
Argentine-born Corney was Uruguay’s first Olympic boxer, but he did not advance past the first round. He later became technician of the Uruguayan boxing squad, and worked as a teacher at a YMCA. He founded an "Olympic Academy" in Montevideo.
