Biography

Jack Condon played tennis for South Africa at the 1924 Olympics. He and [Ivie Richardson] reached the semi-finals of men’s doubles, losing that match, and then lost the bronze medal match to place fourth. Condon played at Wimbledon in 1924, 1927, and 1933. In 1924 he lost his second round match but won the All-England Plate in the consolation tournament for first- and second-round losers. Condon was South African singles champion in 1926, and was runner-up in that event in 1923. He played for the South African Davis Cup team in 1927 and 1933, winning 6 of 11 matches in 5 ties.
