Biography

Frank Covelli finished on the podium at the AAU in the javelin throw seven times between 1963-70, failing only in 1966, with two championships – 1964 and 1968. He was also NCAA javelin champion in 1963 after finishing fourth in 1962. Covelli also won the gold medal at the 1967 Pan American Games.

Personal Best: JT – 86.77 (284-8) (1968).
