Biography

Kenneth Carey sailed for [Pierpont Davis] aboard his boat, the Santa Maria, in the Final Olympic Trials in 1932. They finished 2nd to [Owen Churchill]’s crew, but Churchill asked the members of Davis’s crew to participate in the Olympics and allowed everybody to sail at least one race. Thus Carey, a member of the California Yacht Club, sailed in the Olympics and won a gold medal. Nothing else is known of his life.
