Biography

Doug Brown was mainly a steeplechaser, who ran for the University of Tennessee and later, Athletics West. He competed five times internationally for the US – three Olympic appearances, a 7th in the steeple at the 1973 World University Games, and in the 1983 International Cross-Country Championship. He won the NCAA steeplechase in 1973-74 and was TAC champion in 1973 and 1980.

Personal Bests: 1500 – 3:45.4 (1978); Mile – 4:03.5 (1976); 2 miles – 8:41.4i (1973); 5000 – 13:33.9 (1978); 10000 – 27:54.19 (1978); 3000S – 8:19.29 (1978).
