Biography

Greg Boester, whose name is pronounced BAY-ster, competed for the United States at the 1993 World Championships in addition to his 1994 Winter Olympic appearance. His best year was 1992 when he won two meets in Utah jumping on summer hills. Boester attended St. Lawrence University, graduating with an economics degree, and then earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He then went into mortgage banking, initially working for JP Morgan Chase, but leaving them for the Chicago-based hedge fund Citadel, which was a somewhat acrimonious move, causing JP Morgan to cease dealing with Citadel. Boester later worked for Barclays but then returned to JP Morgan and became their managing director of mortgage. In 2013 he was named the President of the US Ski and Snowboard Foundation.
