Biography

Having played one match as an amateur for Somerset in 1900 and another in 1905, the middle order batsman, Alfred Bowerman, was, together with Montagu Toller, one of the only two players in the 1900 Olympic team who played cricket at county level. A member of the Castle Cary club, he was top scorer in the Olympic match with 59 results in the second innings.
