Biography

Jim Blair went to Cal/Berkeley. In 1928 he rowed the 7th seat for their crew which won the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Regatta and, after graduation, was on their eight-oared shell which won the gold at the Los Angeles Olympics. Blair was the smallest oarsman in the eight, weighing only 168 lb. (76 kg.)
