Biography

Denis Black was brought onto the 1920 Olympic 4x100m relay team after Harry Edward sustained an injury in the 200m final. Black, who won an MC serving as an officer in the Tank Corps in World War I, was the Army Champion at 100y (1921) and 220y (1920-21). At the AAA Championships he placed fourth in the 100y in 1921.

Personal Bests: 100y – 10.1 (1921); 220y – 23.0 (1921).
