Garry Bjorklund was a distance runner, who ran the 10K for the US at the 1976 Olympics and also at the 1971 and 1975 Pan American Games - finishing fourth in both occasion. Bjorklund won the 6-miles at the 1971 NCAA Meet, and was AAU champion in 1969 over 15 km. He ran for the [University of Minnesota] and later the Colorado TC. Personal Bests: Mile – 4:02.2 (1970); 2 miles – 8:28.6 (1976); 5000 – 13:32.3 (1976); 10000 – 27:46.9 (1984); Mar – 2-10:20 (1980). |
