Biography

José Arias won multiple Spanish titles in Alpine skiing between 1940-48, after winning the 1940 Spanish slalom championship. He and his brother, Luís, helped establish the Spanish ski school and club Seven Peaks. José Arias later taught King Juan Carlos I, and headed mountain rescue teams in the Pyrenees.
