Bengt Andersson had the following podium finishes at the Flatwater World Championships: 1st 1982 K4 1000 m (with Per-Inge Bengtsson, Lars-Erik Moberg, and Thomas Ohlsson), 1st 1985 K4 1000 m (with Per-Inge Bengtsson, Lars-Erik Moberg, and Karl Sundqvist), 2nd 1985 K4 10000 m (with Tommy Karls, Thorbjörn Thoresson, and the non-Olympian Peter Ekström), 2nd 1987 K4 1000 m (with Per-Inge Bengtsson, Lars-Erik Moberg, and Karl Sundqvist), 3rd 1983 K2 10000 m (with Karl Sundqvist).
