Biography

Cyril Alden was a member of the second-place British team in the team pursuit at Antwerpen in 1920. In the 50 km track race he was hampered by a collision between [Henry George] and [Thomas Harvey] just before the finish line, but Alden fell across the line, securing the silver medal ahead of [Piet Ikelaar], who protested the result unsuccessfully. In 1924, Alden won his third silver medal in the same race.
