Biography

Mike Agostini had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games 100 yards, 3rd in the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games 100 yards; 2nd in the 1955 Pan American Games 100 metres, 2nd 1959 Pan American Games 100 metres, 3rd in the 1955 Pan American Games 200 metres, 3rd 1959 Pan American Games 200 metres, 3rd 1959 Pan American Games 4×100 metres relay (with Clifton Bertrand, Wilton Jackson, and Dennis Johnson). In the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games 220 yards as well as in the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games 220 yards Agostini was eliminated in the semi-finals. In the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games 4×110 yards relay he finished fourth (with Stan Levenson and the non-Olympians Peter Stanger and Stuart Cameron). In the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games Agostini competed for Canada and in the 1959 Pan American Games he competed for the British West Indies.

Personal Bests: 100 – 10.2 (1958); 200 – 20.9y (1958).
