A very highly qualified candidate will be able to contribute with knowledge in some of the following:

Sports Reference sites run on a LAMP (Perl) stack, and while experience with Perl is a bonus, it is not a hard requirement.

This isn't a data entry job or a sabermetrics job. If you do not have programming experience, please do not apply. You will be producing production code and bringing new features to life on sites that are used by nearly seven million users each month including front office personnel, sports agents, and top sports writers.

Sports Reference is a small company with just 4.5 employees that is growing and planning to expand, so your work will be highly visible and have a definite and immediate impact. Even though we are a small company, Sports Reference contributes to employee health care, dental care, retirement accounts, and salaries commensurate with your ability level and experience.

Preference will be given to employees willing to move to Philadelphia.

We will begin reviewing applicants August 26th and will continue until the position or positions are filled. To apply, please send a cover e-mail with references to bugs_1@sports-reference.com (our bug system) and attach an up-to-date resume in .pdf, .doc, or .txt form.
