2011 New York Yankees Lineups & Batting Orders

For the 2011 season we've updated the batting orders and lineups with a few new bells and whistles. The main one is the ability to highlight the games where a player appeared for the team. We also scroll directly to the location of their first game.

When we get a chance to re-run the full site, these features will be on all of the team batting order and lineup pages back to 1919.

Just because we aren't publishing editorial blog content anymore doesn't mean we aren't making a lot of improvements to the site. The Sports Reference Blog will be the new home for all of the news and notes relating to our work on Baseball-Reference.com and our other six sites as well.

Still on the to do list is getting this hooked up with our twitter and facebook accounts and spreading links to this content throughout the site.

2011 BBWAA Awards Voting

Site is now updated with Rookie of the Year voting.  It will be updated daily through next Monday as the awards are named.

HOFers Are Now Marked in the Elo Ratings

Thanks to a user suggestion we now show a '+' on the overall ratings for the Elo rater. You can rate some players as well.

Team Winning & Losing Streaks Analyzer

We've updated this tool, so it now groups teams by their franchise id rather than by their team ID. This is relevant for teams like Tampa where their team ID has changed from TBD to TBR when they changed their name in 2008.

Team Payrolls and Updated Rosters

Each day, we'll be updating the rosters and payrolls for each team. We use past arbitration awards to create a rough estimate for each team's current payroll.
